O stubborn will of mine that ever asks to see,
To know and understand the way God leadeth me;
Since He omniscient is, in Him my trust shall be-
God’s promise is enough for me.

No need of heart or soul but in His Word I see
Some precious hope made known as if alone for me;
Then if the way be dark I’ll shout triumphantly,
God’s promise is enough for me.

Above the storms of life secure my soul shall sing,
While here in peace I rest beneath His mighty wing;
His Word my refuge is, to it my faith shall cling-
God’s promise is enough for me.

Chorus
God’s promise is enough for me,
Enough for me, enough for me;
I’ll ask no more that I may see-
God’s promise is enough for me.
