Some fair tomorrow we shall know
Life’s mysteries that hurt us so,
And how the burdens furnished wings
To lift us over earthly things.
Some fair tomorrow we shall know
The secret joy beneath our woe;
The love and wisdom in disguise
Will then be open to our eyes.
Some fair tomorrow we shall know
Why seeming good we must forego,
While plans are hindered which we tho’t
Were all for Jesus’ glory wrought.
Some fair tomorrow we shall know,
We trust in Him who tells us so;
Serene and patient, we abide
To see our sorrow glorified.
Chorus
Some fair tomorrow we shall know!
Then let us wait His time below,
While hope may borrow from that bright morrow
A light to cheer us as we go,
While hope may borrow from that bright morrow
A light to cheer us as we go.
