December 6
If raindrops fall when most you wish for sunshine,
Grieve thou no more;
Behind the clouds the sun is ever shining,
Storms will pass o’er.
If sorrow deep in heaven’s love and mercy
Should us enshroud,
Be sure God’s wisdom sees the silver lining
Behind the cloud.
If o’er the new-made grave tears are falling,
Faith points above
To where the light of His dear face is shining
On those we love.
What though the cares of life press thick upon you,
Never despair:
For since God watches, nothing shall befall that
You cannot bear.
Chorus
God’s skies are blue,
And shine with heaven’s radiance
Each gloomy day;
Although His hand lets fall a cloudy curtain,
It will pass away!
