There never was any one like Him,
The love of a soul to command-
Like Jesus, whose sympathy, boundless,
Can fully our hearts understand.

No other so cares for His dear ones,
No matter how feeble, how small;
There never was any one like Him,
So patient and tender to all.

There’s no one with friendship so loyal,
Or friendship that reaches so far,
As Jesus, whose love in all trial
Is love no estrangement can mar.

There never was any one like Him!
I cannot refuse Him my love;
And I in His footsteps must follow
Until I may see Him above.
