Homeward I go rejoicing!
O lovely promised land,
Far in the distance gleaming
I see thy shining strand.

Homeward to meet the Savior
On that eternal shore;
Wonderful land of Canaan,
Where sorrows come no more.

Homeward I go, believing
That there shall be no night
In that eternal city,
Where God Himself is light.

Homeward to join the ransomed,
