July 23
There’s a fight to be fought and a victory won;
There’s a cause to be gained and a race to be run;
We must each lend a hand in the good work begun;
We can, by God’s grace, if we will.
We must send or must go with the life-giving Word,
For so many the gospel have never yet heard;
Let us quickly away to the task long deferred;
We can, by God’s grace, if we will.
Some the gospel must preach to the heathen at home;
Some the tidings must bear far across ocean’s foam;
All must labor and pray that His kingdom may come;
We can, by God’s grace, if we will.
Tho’ our strength may be small and our talents be few,
There is something worth while ev’ry one yet may do;
With our trust in the Lord and His glory in view,
We can, by God’s grace, if we will.
Chorus
Yes, we can, by God’s grace, if we will,
We can, by God’s grace, if we will;
Let us then boldly say, as we labor and pray,
We can, by God’s grace, and we will.
