One little moment, and earthly affliction
God, in His love, will remove from our way;
Sorrow and sighing will vanish forever,
Darkness and night will be turned into day.

One little moment the cross we must carry,
One little moment our trials we bear;
Far more exceeding the crown of rejoicing,
When we with Jesus His triumph shall share.

Just in a moment, in bright clouds of glory,
Jesus Himself shall descend from above;
What then will seem all these passing afflictions,
Lost in the joy of victorious love?

Then we shall see Him, the Savior we love;

Changed to His likeness,
